London Short Story Prize 2019
My short story 'Good Girl' was longlisted for the London Short Story Prize, an annual literary competition to showcase short story writers living in London, run by Spread The Word, London's writer development agency.
There were 11 others on the longlist, out of over 570 entries. It was published in an anthology in April 2020, which you can read here, or go straight to my story here.
The judges said:
"'Good Girl' takes on the patriarchy." - Rowan Hisayo Buchanan
"This story took an enjoyably dark turn in an expression of millennial rage." - Charlotte Seymour
"Tense social skewering and interrogation." - Eley Williams
