Woman, Mapped anthology 2026
An essay I wrote was published in 'Woman, Mapped', a new anthology of poetry and creative non-fiction celebrating the complexity, resilience, and creativity of women’s lives today. Edited by Jennifer Wong and published by Fly on the Wall Press in collaboration with the Rebecca Swift Foundation, it came out in July 2026.
My essay ‘Sisterhood’ blends reportage, memoir, and feminist reflection to explore the vital - and often overlooked - power of solidarity between women. From displaced teenage girls in Iraqi Kurdistan to survivors of domestic violence in a Ukrainian shelter, I examine how women hold each other up when institutions fail them. In contexts of war, displacement, and violence, sisterhood isn’t just comforting, it’s a lifeline.

London Short Story Prize 2019
My short story 'Good Girl' was longlisted for the London Short Story Prize, an annual literary competition to showcase short story writers living in London, run by Spread The Word, London's writer development agency.
There were 11 others on the longlist, out of over 570 entries. It was published in an anthology in April 2020, which you can read here, or go straight to my story here.
